Editorial Policy

This policy explains how our guides are researched, written, reviewed and corrected, and how we keep commercial relationships separate from educational content.

Our editorial purpose

Our purpose is to help readers understand business systems. Content is written to inform first. A guide should be useful to a reader who never follows an external link, and it should remain accurate and clear regardless of any commercial relationship.

How guides are researched

  • Concept-first. Each guide starts with the underlying business problem and the general concept, using terms and definitions that are widely accepted.
  • Primary sources. Where we discuss regulation, standards or technical specifications, we refer to the regulator, standards body or official documentation. The sources page lists the main references.
  • Practical review. Workflows and checklists are drawn from common business practice and are reviewed for internal consistency and realism.

How we handle claims about specific products

  • We do not state that a product has a feature unless we have checked current official documentation for it.
  • We avoid absolute claims such as "unlimited", "best" or "replaces every tool", and we do not promise results or revenue increases.
  • Where a feature depends on a plan, region, add-on or usage fee, we say so with wording such as "depending on the plan and usage".
  • We recommend that readers confirm features and pricing on the vendor's own website, because both change.
  • We do not publish invented reviews, testimonials, ratings or usage statistics.

Commercial relationships

Some links on this website may be referral links from which we may earn compensation. Such relationships do not decide what we explain, and educational sections are written without reference to them. However, they can influence which platforms we choose to mention, and we say so openly in our affiliate disclosure. Referral links are labelled and carry the sponsored attribute. Nobody pays us to change what a guide says about a concept.

Independence

We are not affiliated with any software company. Our name, design and wording are intended to make that obvious. If a guide discusses a specific platform, it will be clear that this website is a separate entity.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI writing tools to help with drafting or editing. All published content is reviewed by a person for accuracy, tone and compliance with this policy, and we do not publish AI-generated claims that have not been checked.

Updates and corrections

  • Each guide shows the month it was last updated.
  • We review guides when laws, standards or major platform behaviours change, and at regular intervals.
  • If you spot an error or an out-of-date statement, please tell us through the contact page. We will verify it and correct the guide promptly. Significant corrections are noted on the page.

What this site is not

The content is educational. It is not legal, tax, financial, medical or professional advice, and it does not create an advisory relationship. See our terms.
